TerraStone Preliminary remarks
The TerraStone especially formulated plaster is not a paint. It is not possible to achieve a uniform and constant colour and material effect with it. In principle, TerraStone has an extremely differentiated colour effect and can appear mottled. The nuances within the same colour can be very strong. The sample colours are not binding. The final colour effect depends on the base, the thickness of the coat as well as on the degree of mixing. Composition TerraStone consists of purely natural mineral substances with varying grades of grain and thickness (including marble, lime, mica, white Portland cement, gypsum). The dyes contained are ochre, oxides or of plant origin. All component parts are derived from nature. Packaging and storage TerraStone is a powder product that is packed in plastic buckets. The appropriate pigments are mixed together to obtain the selected colour. They are packed separately in small plastic bags and stored inside the bucket. The plaster can be stored for several months in closed buckets. TerraStone in powder form is sensitive to frost and should not be stored under . Processings TerraStone contains particles of varying density. The denser particles settle at the bottom of the bucket, while the lighter ones remain at the surface. Colour distortions arise through that, in particular white colour effects. We therefore recommend that you first mix the finish thoroughly while it is dry (preferably with a blender) before you add water. In any event, mix in the water by hand. When you use the plaster for the first time, we recommend that you start with small quantities, perhaps 1/4 or 1/3 of the bucket's contents. The plaster should not be either hard or liquid. The contents should be stirred with approx. 6-7 litres of water (to 15 kg) into a uniform and smooth paste. We recommend first mixing the TerraStone with 6 litres of water and then adding water only in small amounts until the right application consistency is reached. |
