意大利批盪材料 TERRA STONE

DRYING TIMES

With very porous base surfaces, TerraStone sets after an hour. TerraStone first hardens completely after 4-10 days, i.e. as soon as the final colour can be seen.

The drying time depends on the base surface, on the room temperature, on the humidity in the room and on the thickness of the coat. Drying times are longer when walls have been primed.

Consumption

With the contents of one bucket (15 kg) you can cover approx. 8-12 m2 on average. This is the normal consumption with a normal base surface. Consumption is determined by the thickness of the layer, on the condition of the base surface and on the skill of the user. With very porous, uneven base surfaces the consumption can be much higher. Calculation of the consumption amount: 1.2-2.0 kg per m2 (Example: a wall surface of area 11 m2 with a very coarse base surface -> quantity required 11 m2 x 2 kg = 22 kg of TerraStone)

Finishing

After it has dried, TerraStone can be varnished, waxed, polished or given a patina finish. All patina techniques are possible. You can also impregnate TerraStone.

Before any further working or finishing, we recommend that you vacuum the walls with a vacuum cleaner. The TerraStone surface must be dry and free of dust. TerraStone sets completely after around 20 days. Before that, in no event should the coat be sponged down, as otherwise the pigments will bleed and stripes will appear. TerraStone is wipe-resistant after this period.

Properties

TerraStone is not flammable. It also tolerates changes in humidity.

Colours, tones and variations

The colours in TerraStone are as variable as in ochre quarries in nature. TerraStone has been developed in order to achieve an antique effect. It is not even, therefore, but very shaded. This look is deliberate and makes up the charm of the product. All other results would be down to pure chance.

As a rule, the colours in one delivery are the same. Different deliveries – in particular made over large intervals – can deviate in colour from each other, as the colour intensity of the pigments depends on the quarry production.

The standard colours

TerraStone can be delivered in 21 different colours (please see table). Special colour tones can be developed for large orders. The intensity of the individual colours can be adjusted to be lighter by reducing the pigments.
